Well in the past, websites were built as an online business card. Here's my information, here's how to get a hold of me, here's what I do...me, me, me.

Now days, nobody cares about...me. They care about sharing their opinion, being able to participate and tell everyone about themselves.

A place where you can ask questions, talk, watch or listen to media, read news, etc. related to your topic.

Online communities are a very powerful thing. Look at the success of Flickr, Youtube, Myspace, Facebook, Friendster, etc. It's not the sites that are great, it's the people in each community that makes them great.
